This tour will take you on a well paced, interesting tour visiting the highlights of Malaysia.
Day 1 – Arrival in Kuala Lumpur – Meet on arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport with our guide, and then transfer to Malacca. Upon arrival in town see the ruins of the A Famosa fortress, the Dutch Square and walk across the bridge over the Malacca River to stroll along the streets of old Malacca. Visit the Baba Nyonya house museum, see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia (1645) and the Kampung Kling Mosque, the oldest mosque of Malacca. Proceed for a last stop to Bukit China (Chinese hill), the largest Chinese cemetery outside China. Most of the visit is a walk about tour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Kuala Lumpur – Transfer to Kuala Lumpur and arrive around lunch time. The rest of the day is free at leisure. (B)
Day 3 – Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands – After breakfast proceed for a Kuala Lumpur City Tour. Drive through lake gardens stop at National Mosque; stop at Independence Square and enjoy short walk to Central Market. Stroll through Chinatown then board the bus and proceed to Kampung Baru, typical Malay area still all built in traditional Malay architecture and for KLCC for a great photo shooting of the Twin Towers. In the afternoon, depart for Cameron Highlands (5 hours). Stop on the way at Batu Caves, the largest and most important Hindu temple in Malaysia. Upon arrival, Check in at hotel and overnight. (B)
Day 4 – Cameron Highlands – At 0900 hrs, depart for a full-day tour around Cameron Highlands, which includes a picnic lunch. Back to the hotel. Overnight. (B/L)
Day 5 – Cameron Highlands to Belum – Depart for Belum early morning, Stop at the Sam Poh Tong or Perak Tong Cave Temple, a Buddhist temple carved into a limestone mountain. In the afternoon, take a boat ride across the man-made lake to see the Orang Utan sanctuary. Around 1600hrs, depart for Belum and arrive in time for dinner. Dinner and overnight. Please note that the visit to the Orang Utan Island is not guaranteed due to the fluctuation of water level at the Lake Merah. (B, L, D)
Day 6 – Belum – At 0900hrs meeting at Belum Rainforest Resort lobby and depart for a full day excursion to explore the Belum Forest on foot and by boat. The trip features the various flora and fauna of the area – one of the oldest and most pristine rainforest in Peninsula Malaysia. A light picnic lunch is included in this day trip. Around 1600hrs, transfer back to the resort and overnight. (B, L)
Day 7 – Belum to Penang / Kota Bharu – Transfers to Penang or Kota Bharu for your convenience. (B)
