A combination tour of cycling and light hiking in a relaxing enviroment. Visiting some of Malaysia’s highest peaks, oldest and largest tea plantations, and stunning jungle, this is the perfect escape from metropolitan Malaysia to a more remote area.
Day 01 – Arrival in Kuala Lumpur – Pickup from airport or hotel and transfer to Cameron Highlands. Check-in and overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Cameron Highlands – After breakfast, start the day cycling along the Boh Tea plantation. This day trip is a great way of visiting one of the best known tea plantations in Cameron Highlands. Regarded as the largest and the oldest tea farm in Malaysia, Boh tea plantation has the most impressive scenery in this region. Beginning your adventure from the entrance of the plantation you will be winding uphill to the top of the factory and the tea house at 4,000ft above sea level before moving downhill to the other end of the farm spanning a total area of more than 3,000 acres. Lining the long and winding roads are rows of stunted tea bushes readied to be harvested and processed into one of our finest black tea grown in the highlands. Cruising another few kilometers down the stretch you will arrived at Kg. Panggen and Kg. Kuala Boh where you will be greeted and met by some of the friendliest people in the jungle. These natives and their ancestors have long inhabited these areas long before the discovery of Cameron Highlands by William Cameron in 1885. (B, L)
Day 03 – Cameron Highlands – At 0900hrs, proceed for a half day tour of Gunung Brinchang. Standing at 6,666ft above sea level, it is the highest peak in Cameron Highlands. Translated into English, the Malay word “Gunung” means mountain and “Brinchang” means strong winds. With the temperature sometimes recording less than 15 degrees Centigrade during the night, this mountain is a home to numerous species of mosses, pitcher plants, wild orchids and flowers. It is also a showpiece of what mossy forest is all about. (B)
The ride to the top by 4×4 and the view from the lookout point will allow you to enjoy and appreciate the panoramic view of our montane forests. After a short walk to the mossy forest we will proceed to visit the highest tea plantation in Malaysia.
Day 04 – Cameron Highlands return to Kuala Lumpur – After breakfast, transfer to Kuala Lumpur city or airport. (B)
