Tour Description

Day 1 – Taipei to Sun Moon Lake – This morning you will meet your guide in the hotel foyer who will provide the transfer to Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 metres above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. En-route enjoy a stop at the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple, dedicated to Confucius, the Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Holy Monk Shrine and Ci En Pagoda. On arrival at Sun Moon Lake, enjoy an after tour of the lake before checking in to your hotel for the evening. At your own expense you may enjoy the walking trails, biking, hiking or boating at the lake.

Day 2 – Sun Moon Lake to Kaohsiung – Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning before commencing your days touring and pass by the lovely small and old Jiji Railway Station, continue the drive to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the most famous Buddhist sacred place of southern Taiwan. Here you will learn about Buddhism during the monastery walking tour to visit “Buddha Memorial Centre” and communicate with some of the monks, nuns during the visit, and there will be opportunity to taste Buddhist vegetarian lunch (at your own cost). Continue the drive to Kaohsiung City, which is the second largest city of Taiwan. On arrival in Kaohsiung you will visit the Love River and Liuhe Night Market. (B)

Day 3 – Kaohsiung to Kenting – This morning enjoy a tour of the Kenting National Park, located at Taiwan’s southern tip and the 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline along three sides of the park provide its main attractions. Enjoy stops along the way at Oluanpi lighthouse, Maopitou coastal scenic area and Longpan Park. Continue to drive to Taitung via Southern Link Highway to your final destination of Kenting. (B)

Day 4 – Kenting to Taroko – After breakfast, it will be an exciting East Coast Tour. The East Coast National Scenic Area, known as “Taiwan’s last unspoiled land”, stretches 170 kilometers down the east coast of the island. Weathering, erosion, and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms here. Our tour will stop at Siaoyeliu, Sansientai, Shitiping (Stone Steps), marble factory and showroom. Late afternoon, we will proceed to Hualien for overnight stay at Taroko National Park. (B)

Day 5 – Taroko to Taipei – Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before meeting your guide, as you will enjoy another visit to Taroko National Park. Taroko Gorge is exceptionally beautiful with narrow raving created by the River Liwu, which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble over the years. . A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Passing by the Tunnel of Nine Turns, and the Ci Mu Bridge, you will enjoy stops enroute at the Swallow Grotto, and Changchun Temple (Eternal Spring Shrine). Enjoy one final stop at Cingshui Cliff, and then drive through Syue-Shan Long Tunnel, approx 12.9 Kms in length to arrive in Taipei at 6 PM. (B)
