Day 1 – Arrival in Taipei – On arrival in Taipei you will be greeted by our airport representative who will provide the transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2 – Taipei half day tour – Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning before meeting your guide who will escort you on a half-day tour of Taipei. The first visit of the tour is to the impressive Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, followed by National Palace Museum where 5,000 years of Imperial Chinese art and Jade collection is exhibited. Continue to Marty’s Shrine with its traditional architecture and observe the changing of the guard. Finish the tour with a visit to a local Taipei Handicraft Centre. At the completion you will be returned to your hotel or transported in another part of the city.
Day 3 – Taipei to Sun Moon Lake – After enjoying an early breakfast you will meet your driver who will transfer you to Sun Moon Lake. En-route you will visit Puli, located in central Taiwan, to visit the cultural & artistic centre of Taiwan. Continue onto Sun Moon Lake and in the afternoon visit historical sights such as Wen Wu Temple, Tehua Village, Tse-En Pagoda and the Holy Monk Shrine.
Day 4- Sun Moon Lake to Kaohsiung – Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before embarking on the journey to Kaohsiung. To break the drive you will stop in Lukang, which was an important seaport in the 18th century and 19th century. It was the most populous city in central Taiwan until the early 20th century. In March 2012, it was named one of the Top 10 Small Tourist Towns by the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan. You will arrive in Kaohsiung in the mid afternoon and the remainder of the day is at your own leisure.
Day 5 – Kaohsiung to Kenting returning to Kaohsiung – At the conclusion of breakfast meet your guide for the drive to Kenting where you will spend the entire day visiting the Kenting National Park. Enjoy the sights of the Oluanpi Light House, located on the southern most tip of Taiwan and Maopitou, known as the “Cat’s Nose” due to the interesting rock formations. In the late afternoon return to Kaohsiung.
Day 6 – Kaohsiung to Taipei – Enjoy a morning city tour of Kaohsiung visiting locations such as visit Cheng Ching Lake, Spring & Autumn Pavilions, and Former British Consulate before embarking on the journey back to Taipei where you will arrive late in the afternoon.
Day 7 – Taipei departure – Today is at your leisure until at a pre-arranged time you will meet your driver who will provide the transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
