Tour Description

Day 1 – Arrival in Busan – On arrival in Busan you will be warmly welcomed by our airport representative who will facilitate the transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2 – Busan – Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel this morning before meeting your guide for a day of sightseeing in Busan. The first stop this morning is Nurimaru APEC House, located on Dongbaekseom Island, Nurimaru APEC House has been used as a memorial hall and a prestigious international conference hall since the APEC summit meeting. Continue to Dalmaji-gil road, and enjoy the scenic views of Songjeong Beach. The last visit of the morning is to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, first built in 1376 by the great Buddhist teacher known as Naong during the Goryeo Dynasty, this temple is not only important in the local history, but one of the few temples in South Korea located on the coast, as most are located in the mountains. After a quick lunch break visit Gwananli Bridge, enjoy the picturesque views of Busan and gather an appreciation for the size of South Korea’s 2nd largest city. Stretching over 7.4km from Namcheon-dong (Suyeong-gu, Busan) to Centum City (U-dong, Haeundae-gu) is the largest bridge over the ocean in Korea. The final visit of the day is to the Jagalchi Market, a must visit in particular for those who love seafood. Busan is South Korea’s largest supplier of seafood and you have ample opportunity to sample some of the finest seafood anywhere in the world. At the end of this visit return back to your hotel for the evening at leisure. (B)

Day 3 – Busan to Jeju Island -Its an early start this morning to meet your guide for the transfer to Busan Gimhae Airport for the short flight to Jeju island. On arrival in Jeju you will meet your guide and commence your day of sightseeing with your first destination of Hallim Park. Almost 100 thousand square meters, it has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in any season. Visitors can enjoy Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden and much more. The most famous tourist sites in Hallim Park are Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world.  Next you visit one of the most picturesque spots on Jeju, Suweolbong Peak, rising 77m above sea level it is a favourite destination at sunset. After enjoying the setting sun you will return to your hotel for the evening at your leisure. (L)

Day 4 – Jeju Island to Busan – Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel this morning before a full day of sightseeing for your last day on Jeju Island. Begin the day with a visit to the Trick Art Museum, which is the first museum in Korea to show optical illusion art. Continue the morning with a visit to Seongeup Folk Village, here cultural properties in the folk village have been handed down from generation to generation and include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones (pulled by horses or ox), fortress ruins, and stone monuments. Enjoy a short lunch stop before continuing to view the Mermaids of Jeju. Unlike fishermen who go out in boats or use a rod, these women dive in the ocean without any special tools to gather clams, abalone, or seaweed. Complete the visit to Jeju with a visit to Seongsan Ilchulbong, rising from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago, it is located on the eastern end of Jeju Island, and is a huge crater. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high and while the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village and the ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well. At the completion of this visit you will be transferred to the airport for the short flight to Busan. Upon arrival in Busan our airport representative will greet you and facilitate the transfer to your hotel for the evening. (B)

Day 5 – Depart Busan – Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel this morning and dependent on your departure flight time, some free time. At a pre-arranged time you will meet your guide in the hotel lobby for the transfer to Busan Gimhae Airport for your departure flight. (B)
