Tour Description

Day 1 – Arrival into Bali – Upon arrival at Denpasar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local English-speaking guide who will take you directly to your hotel for check-in. During the transfer the tour guide will brief you about your hotel, its surrounding and about Bali – he / she will explain your program for the following days and set up the timings to your convenience. The remainder of the day is at your own leisure.

Day 2 – Lovina – Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in south Bali and then depart by private air conditioned coach to explore the unspoiled countryside and villages of the back roads. Traveling through thick tropical forest beneath Mount Batukaru you will reach the Luhur Temple and the beautiful rice terraces at Jatiluwih. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant in Baturiti. Continue to Candi Kuning fruit and flower market with its exotic wild orchids, roses and even strawberries. Next stop is Bedugul – an attractive mountain resort located 850 m above sea level. Serene Lake Beratan fills the ancient crater of Mount Batukaru. The temple Ulun Danu, on the water’s edge, is dedicated to Dewi Danu the goddess of the waters. Continue your day by following the road with a scenic side trip through the charming little village of Munduk, home to Bali’s coffee plantations. Enjoy a coffee break with beautiful sceneries in Munduk. Then drive to Brahmavihara Arama: Bali’s only Buddhist monastery is vaguely Buddhist-looking, with colourful decoration, a bright orange roof and statues of Buddha, but it has very Balinese decorative carvings and door guardians. There is also a holy hot spring originated from volcanic activities. Proceed to Lovina for check-in at your beach hotel. (B & L)

Day 3 – Candi Dasa – Early in the morning, set off for the dolphin boat trip. There is no evidence that the dolphins are harmed by the attention, but there is some suggestion that boats have to travel further and further to see fewer dolphins. Afterwards return to the hotel for a hot shower and breakfast and at the completion of breakfast, depart by minivan for sightseeing to Candi Dasa. En route visit Sangsit village, a few kilometres east of Singaraja where you can see the Beji Temple, dedicated to the goddess Dewi Sri, who looks after irrigated rice fields. Enjoy your lunch with spectacular views of Mount Batur and the crater lake. Continue to Besakih Temple, also known as the “Mother Temple of Bali” on the slopes of the holy Mount Agung and Putung. Proceed to your beach hotel in Candi Dasa area in the late afternoon and enjoy the evening at your leisure. (B & L)

Day 4 -Ubud – After breakfast depart by minivan for a day of sightseeing in Ubud. On the way visit Tenganan Village, which is occupied by the Bali Aga people, descendants of the original Balinese who inhabited Bali prior to the Majapahit arrival. The village is surrounded by a wall and consists of two rows of identical houses stretching up the gentle slope of the hill. Continue to Goa Lawah, the Bat Cave Temple in the cliff face which is jam-packed full of bats that fly out after dusk. The day continues with a visit to Kertha Gosa, the “Hall of Justice” that was effectively the supreme court of the Klungkung kingdom and afterwards see the gamelan industry in Tihingan village. Lunch will be provided at Puri Boga Restaurant. At the completion of lunch proceed to Bangli and visit Kehen Temple, the state temple of the Bangli kingdom. The temple is terraced up the hillside, with a great flight of steps leading to the beautifully decorated entrance. Afterwards proceed to check in at the hotel in central Ubud. (B & L)
