Penang - Touring Options

On the Tigers Trail 3 Days / 2 Nights

This pristine forest (over 130 million years of age) houses over 3,000 species of flowering plants, including three species of the largest flower in the world – the Rafflesia, and it is the perfect habitat for 14 of the world’s most threatened mammals, including the Malaysian Tiger, Sumatran Rhinoceros, the White-handed Gibbon, Asiatic Elephant, and Malayan Tapir. A boat ride along the scenic Temenggor Lake will allow visitors to see a large number of migrating hornbills and catch sight of freshwater turtles.

Day 1 – Penang to Belum. At 10.30am you will be picked up at Penang hotel or airport and depart for Belum.  Stop for lunch in a local restaurant en route.  Arrive at the Belum Rainforest Resort in the afternoon and check-in.  The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the beautiful surrounding and sights of the resort.  Dinner and overnight at resort. Day 2 – Belum.  At 0900hrs meeting at Belum Rainforest Resort lobby and depart for a full day excursion to explore the Belum Forest on foot and by boat. The trip features the various flora and fauna of the area – one of the oldest and most pristine rainforest in Peninsula Malaysia.  A light picnic lunch is included in this day trip. Around 1600hrs, transfer back to the resort and overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 3 – Depart Belum – After breakfast, transfer to pier or airport. (B)
